Linda A Acheson was an RN for over 30 years.  She worked the Hospital floor, Surgical Department, and as a Home Health Nurse.  She had a passion for helping others in all ways but especially with their medical needs.  This scholarship is given in her memory to help others become nurses so they can continue Linda’s passion.

Scholarship Criteria for the Linda A Acheson Memorial Nursing Scholarship

1. A full-time student enrolled at one of the Great Oaks full-time workforce development programs and qualifying for graduation.
2. Be successful in her/his career/technical program.
3. Have a plan to pursue a career in the nursing profession.
4. Essay Prompt:  Minimum of 500 words
